Weather Report are one of the most innovative and iconic bands in jazz history. Co-led by Saxophonist Wayne Shorter and Pianist Joe Zawinul, they spanned genres including swing, funk, free jazz and electronica between their 1971 debut and their breakup in 1986. Their most famous album, 1977’s ‘Heavy Weather’, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and, known first and foremost for the strength and diversity of their compositions, they were pioneers and masters of the ‘Jazz-Fusion’ style.
